We are thrilled to invite you to UCBC Cares Foundation’s 2nd annual “Strollin’ for the Colon” Fun Walk for Colon Cancer Awareness! This impactful event will take place on Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 a.m. at the University Health Alliance campus, located at 1460 Resurgence Dr., Watkinsville, GA.
Our event aims to empower our community to take preventive action, prioritize their health, and support those affected by colon cancer. This family-friendly walk will bring together participants of all ages to spread awareness about colon cancer prevention, encourage early screenings, and honor the strength of those battling this disease.
UCBC Cares Foundation, along with the University Health Alliance providers Dr. Minesh Mehta, Dr. Vikas Sangwan, Dr. Thomas Ward, and Dr. Fia Yi, invite you to join us in raising awareness about colon cancer prevention and supporting those impacted by this disease.
Because colorectal cancer is being diagnosed in younger adults with increasing frequency, early detection and access to screenings have never been more critical. Your support of Strollin’ for the Colon helps ensure that our community is not left behind in this growing health crisis. Every sponsorship dollar stays in our community, directly providing free colonoscopy prep materials and essential medication assistance for patients who otherwise could not afford them. Just as importantly, your generosity makes it possible for us to deliver life‑saving prevention programming and education across Northeast Georgia—empowering people with the knowledge, resources, and confidence they need to take charge of their health. Together, we are removing barriers, catching cancer earlier, and saving lives.
We’ve attached detailed sponsorship information, including benefits and recognition levels, for your review. In addition to our sponsorship opportunities, we would like to invite your organization to set up a table or booth at the walk to demonstrate healthy lifestyle choices and promote our community’s wellness groups. The deadline for sponsorship commitments is March 6th.
Together, we can inspire our community to prioritize colon cancer awareness and prevention. Thank you for considering this opportunity to support a cause that impacts so many lives.
In gratitude,
The Strollin’ for the Colon Committee
